Chris Kinnear has added Swiss defender Tim Schmoll to his Dover Athletic squad.

The 25-year-old has been on trial with Whites and has been rewarded with a contract.

Schmoll has played most of his career in America and featured 45 times for New York Red Bulls reserve team, who play in the second tier of professional football in America.

He was signed by Aldershot Town in February but was released at the end of the season without playing a match.

Schmoll becomes the sixth signing of the summer and third defender to join along with Moussa Diarra and Kevin Lokko.
