Mitch Brundle and Kevin Lokko both won awards as Dover hosted their end-of-season presentation following Friday's 1-0 win at home to Aldershot.

Skipper Brundle, who has provided eight goals and 13 assists so far this campaign, was named Supporters' Player of the Season and Away Supporters' Player of the Season.

Lokko was meanwhile recognised by his teammates as the Players' Player of the Season thanks to his standout efforts at the heart of Whites' defence.

A close vote saw the Supporters' award whittled down to a top five, with Lokko finishing runner-up ahead of striker Alfie Pavey in third, Stuart Lewis in fourth and Jai Reason in fifth.

As for the Players' vote, winner Lokko fended off competition from Brundle in second and Frenchman Bedsente Gomis in third.

In added reward for his accolade Brundle was also given a £250 cheque courtesy of the Supporter's Club, which he donated to local charity Pegasus Play Scheme.

Having cemented their spot in the National League the previous week with a 3-2 win over Barrow, Dover scored in the 88th minute on Good Friday to snatch a deserved three points against Aldershot.

Speaking at the event after the game, manager Andy Hessenthaler said: "It's been fantastic to be back. We came back in October with seven points, we had to do a lot of work both on and off the pitch, changing from part-time to full-time. It took time, but we got there in the end.

"I think we've reaped the rewards and we have to give the chairman a lot of credit for that.

"It was going to take time and I think you could tell that in the first part of our results. Gradually on the training ground we started to get the work done.

"For me the players have to take all the credit for that. We knew it was going to be a challenge, finally we got there.

"We said about getting to 50 (points), we want to get to 60 now and win our last two games.

"The hard work for me starts now, we have to start thinking about next season now."
