Dover boss Andy Hessenthaler has boosted his strikeforce with the signing of a former Football League forward.
Ahkeem Rose has made the switch to Crabble after being released by League 2 Grimsby in May.
The 21-year-old played alongside Hessenthaler’s son Jake at Grimsby and will be keen to make his mark in the National League. The duo were among a number of players, including former Gills defender Bradley Garmston, who were released by Grimsby at the end of last season. Hessenthaler has since joined League 2 Crawley .
Rose scored three goals for Grimsby after making his debut against Rochdale in the EFL Cup in August 2018. He made 43 appearances in total for the Mariners, with 28 of them as a substitute.
Jamaican Rose will wear the number nine shirt for Dover this season.
He also featured on loan for Boston in 2018, scoring two goals in four outings.
Rose scored the winner after coming off the bench for Grimsby against Salford on New Year's Day but featured only twice more under Ian Holloway thereafter, his last Grimsby appearance coming on January 11 against Leyton Orient.
