Dover Athletic manager Chris Kinnear disappointed at 2-2 draw with York City in Vanarama National League

Chris Kinnear says he was disappointed but Dover must move on after allowing two leads to slip in a draw at home to York City on Saturday.

Whites saw Jamie Grimes' opener cancelled out by Jon Parkin, and Ricky Miller's late penalty was followed by a header from an unmarked Shaun Rooney with 14 minutes remaining.

Kinnear claimed it felt like 'two points dropped' and admitted: "Everyone's a little bit disappointed but they are a big club and a very experienced side.

"It's two points dropped but they will get quite a lot of points. I'd imagine they'll be getting lots of results.

"We didn't necessarily deserve the three points, the way we played, but being infront twice... two dead balls have killed us really, again.

"We've given a silly free-kick away and didn't mark very well in the box, but that happens. It's something we've got to address.

"There was a discussion in the dressing room, you discuss everything. There's no great upset. We want to move on.

"We're disappointed but we've just got to get on and look forward to the next game at Macclesfield on Tuesday."

The point kept Whites in the play-off places and Kinnear claimed: "We're still in the top-five, which is not too bad is it?

"We're the little minnow in that top 10 or 11 but it's good that the players are disappointed they haven't beaten a side like York City.

"They made sure it was going to be difficult for us and played with only two forward really, all the rest were defenders or defensive midfielders. It was hard to break them down.

"With 15 minutes to go it looked like (we had) but we didn't get the run of the ball or the decisions, but that's football."
