DOVER ATHLETIC have a new board of directors. Local businessman Mick Kemp is chairman of a four-man board which also includes Dutch shipping broker Marinus Kraak, Supporters Trust representative John Farringdon and Steve Cattermole, who will be the club's finance director and company secretary.
Dover are facing life back in the Dr Martens League after being relegated from the Conference and Kemp said: "Now the hard work begins, but we have a board now, so things really can begin to be sorted out at this club and our aim is to put it back onto a solid financial footing.
"We have so many things to do, but we're just delighted to be in the position we are now. Our first priority is to get some players signed up so we have a team for next season! Also we've got to get some games arranged so we have a good pre-season build up to the new season."
Kemp confirmed that Clive Walker will definitely be the club's manager next season, saying: "Clive's position doesn't change. The only thing that does change is that he can now start sorting the team out. "Our priority isn't to bounce back straight away but if we win the Dr Martens League Championship and get promoted back to the Conference in one season I'll be jumping up and down like everyone else."
Dover however, have lost two players in the last few days. Hard-tackling midfielder Jimmy Strouts has joined Conference new boys Gravesend while striker Leon Kelly, who impressed on loan from Cambridge United at the end of last season, has signed for Unibond League side Ilkeston Town.
