Sean Raggett admitted it wasn’t the best of headers.

But the young Dover Athletic defender was thrilled it was good enough to win the FA Cup fourth qualifying round tie at Eastbourne Borough on Saturday.

The England C representative headed home Nicky Deverdics’ 92nd minute corner to earn his side a 2-1 win and a place in Monday’s first round draw.

Raggett revealed he was happy to see the ball end up in the back of the net, given he didn’t get his head to it as well as he hoped.

He said: “I just saw Jamie (Grimes) go for it and I followed in behind him becuase it didn’t look as though he was going to get there.

“He missed it and I managed to get a little bit on it - it was just enough to do the job.”

And Raggett couldn’t hold back after scoring his last-gasp winner.

He said: “I lost it a bit to be honest. I just started running - I didn’t know what to do.”

But who would Raggett like to get in the draw?

Two other Kent clubs would fit the bill as far as he’s concerned.

Raggett said: “I’d love Gillingham away or Maidstone at home - I’d be happy with that.”
