An incredible finish ensured it was honours even after Dover’s top-of-the-table Isthmian Premier match against Cray Valley on Saturday.
Whites defender Roman Charles-Cook's stoppage-time goal looked to have won it but the Millers’ captain, Mohammed-Idris Oshilaja, earned them a deserved point.
Substitute Matthew Vigor had netted late in normal time to cancel out stand-in Dover skipper Ruben Soares-Junior's first-half goal, either side of a missed second-half Cray Valley penalty, as it finished 2-2. Both teams extended their unbeaten league runs to 10 games.
Jake Leberl’s league-leading hosts created the first chance of the game at Crabble as Millers keeper Max Ovenden got down to hold Luke Baptiste's shot from a right-wing cross in the fourth minute.
Six minutes later as Steve McKimm’s men started to settle into the game, Dover’s defence twice blocked bravely when defender Daniel Bowry and midfielder Tom Beere tried their luck from distance.
But Whites went ahead in fine fashion on 11 minutes in front of a crowd of 1,020 on a grey and gloomy afternoon.
The visitors were adamant there was a foul by defender Luca Cocoracchio, finding himself in an unusually advanced position, but their appeals were waved away by referee Peter Conn.
Cocoracchio crossed to George Nikaj and his cushioned header found Soares-Junior, whose lovely overhead kick nestled home for his 13th goal this season.
Cray Valley should have equalised through two chances in quick succession.
A powerful Beere shot stung the palms of stand-in home keeper Claudio Boakye-Sarfo and the former AFC Wimbledon man was then provider for Parker, only for the 12-goal forward to drag inches wide.
At the other end, the away team twice cleared off their own line just after the half-hour mark.
Clement Asiedu got back in time to deny Nikaj, who had shot from an unlikely right-wing angle with Ovenden out of his goal, before another Cray player made a vital interception. That came after Harrison Pont had headed towards goal at the far post from a free-kick by fellow midfielder George Wilkinson.
The home side again went close in the 40th minute when Nikaj lobbed just over after Pont had been the first to a loose ball in midfield.
Winger Francis Mampolo was next to go close for Dover, his effort whistling just over as appeals they should have been awarded a corner fell on death ears.
Inside less than 30 second-half seconds, the visitors won a penalty, with referee Mr Conn ruling Beere to have been fouled by young Grenada international right-back Charles-Cook.
But Parker’s shot crashed against the post despite Boakye-Sarfo, formerly of Cray Wanderers and Horsham, having dived the wrong way.
Millers manager McKimm made his first substitution on the hour mark, which saw Vigor replace Sonny Black.
They again threatened an equaliser in the 70th minute when Oshilaja flashed a strike narrowly wide.
As Cray Valley continued to look for a leveller, substitute Julien Anau failed to hit the target with a 20-yard shot.
But the Millers did equalise with 86 minutes played. It looked like Athletic goalkeeper Boakye-Sarfo would get to a left-wing delivery first, only to be beaten to the ball by Vigor. He nodded into the empty net.
In the second minute of five of injury time, Dover keeper Boakye-Sarfo made a fine save to tip wide substitute Michael Ademiluyi’s curling effort.
Whites felt they had won it deep in stoppage time, despite visiting appeals Soares-Junior had been offside, as Charles-Cook slotted into the bottom corner for his first goal this season to spark wild scenes.
But resilient Cray Valley weren’t done and Adam Coombes kept the ball alive for Oshilaja to smartly back-heel into the net, with a lot of players from both teams looking spent at the full-time whistle of a breathless finale to a hotly-awaited game.
The visitors did, however, lose Oshilaja to a second yellow card for his celebration.
Home manager Leberl made one change from their midweek 3-1 victory at Lewes - albeit it was a significant one.
With experienced goalkeeper Mitch Walker suffering with a recurrence of his knee problem, he was replaced by Boakye-Sarfo.
Soares-Junior, aged just 24, was handed the captain’s armband.
Cray Valley’s three changes saw Andre Coker, Fumnaya Shomotun and Danny Waldren replace Vigor, Ali Tumkaya and Coombes.
The Millers are at Hastings in a midweek Velocity Cup fixture while Dover, having knocked out Cray Valley 3-1 at home in the Kent Senior Cup last month, will host neighbours Deal in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
