Macclesfield Town 1 Dover Athletic 0 - Match report

Dover slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Macclesfield, despite an encouraging display.
Macclesfield's Paul Lewis slotted in the winner on 66 minutes, converting a low cross as the home side's second-half pressure told.
In the first half Dover managed to keep their play-off chasing hosts at bay as Macclesfield were restricted to half chances and failed to really test Whites keeper Andrew Rafferty.
Meanwhile Tom Murphy had Dover's best chance at the other end, but shot over the bar from a tight angle.
Dover started the second half on the front foot with Nick Deverdics firing just wide as they looked to build on their solid first half, but after the goal they failed to create any clear cut chances to pull level.
