Dover were denied what could prove a crucial three points in their Skrill South play-off bid by a last-gasp penalty on Saturday.

With Chris Kinnear’s side leading 2-1, Bishop's Stortford were awarded a penalty for handball in the third minute of added time and Reece Prestedge smashed home the equaliser.

The home team had made a fast start and took the lead after six minutes when Brian Woodall struck with a half volley. Anthony Church then hit the woodwork twice and Matt Johnson had a shot cleared off the line before Whites were awarded a penalty when Church handled in the box, only for Stortford keeper Joe Wright to save Moses Ademola’s spot kick.

However Dover did draw level midway through the first half when Ricky Modeste flicked the ball past Wright.

Whites then took control in the second half and looked set for their fourth successive away win when Ademola curled a shot home eight minutes from time, only for Prestedge to have the last word.
