Dover extended their unbeaten run to seven games in Vanarama Conference after coming from behind twice to draw 2-2 against Torquay United at Crabble on Tuesday.

But it needed a stoppage time equaliser from defender Tyrone Sterling to earn manager Chris Kinnear's side a share of the points.

Sterling bundled home James Poole's corner three minutes into time added on after a massive goalmouth scramble to send the Crabble faithful wild.

Earlier, Krystian Pearce headed home Luke Young's corner to give Torquay the lead in the 23rd minute, the first goal Whites have conceded at home in the league since the 1-0 defeat against Macclesfield on September 13.

That's the way it stayed until Poole, who signed on loan from Bury last week, came on as substitute for Nicky Deverdics in the 73rd minute.

And he took just two minutes for him to make an impact on his home debut after his corner was headed home by unmarked captain Connor Essam.

But the joy lasted just four minutes after Torquay hit the lead again following a swift counter attack which ended with substitute Ashley Yeoman beating Andy Rafferty from close range after his first attempt had been saved by the goalkeeper.

With time running out, Dover went all out in search of an equaliser and that determination and effort was rewarded when the Torquay defence failed to clear and Sterling took full advantage.

The result leaves Torquay 10th and Dover 14th.

Earlier, manager Kinnear was forced into making two changes to his starting line-up from Saturday's 2-1 win at Gateshead with defenders Sean Francis (groin) and Richard Orlu (suspended) both out.

They were replaced by Gillingham loanee Callum Davies and Sean Raggett
