Marshall Wratten has returned to Dover after spending the last month on loan at Whitstable Town.

The Whites academy product, who signed his first professional deal at Crabble in June, managed six starts and four assists during his brief spell with the Isthmian South East club.

He is now in line to make the Dover squad ahead of this Saturday's FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round clash away to National League South outfit Weymouth.

Dover boss Andy Hessenthaler said: "His loan is up. We've called Marshall back now for the next few weeks.

"He's done well but we've called him back and he'll be involved for us in the FA Cup at the weekend, we can name seven subs so he'll be involved.

"He had a good month of games there so we'll see where we go in the next few weeks but we've picked up a few injuries over the last few weeks so we've got to be careful with squad size."

Speaking last week, Whitstable boss Lloyd Blackman admitted he was keen on extending Wratten's stay at The Belmont.

"He’s been marvellous for us," said Blackman.

"I've not put too much pressure on him, I've just allowed him to express himself and play with freedom.

"Obviously that's something we'd like to do, whether we can we'll wait and see."

Wratten is yet to feature for the first-team this season but has become a familiar face through his work with physio Huseyin Torgut and Dover's substitutes before matches.

The19-year-old, who led the Dover academy in assists last season, came off the bench in November's FA Cup first round tie with Bury.
