Dover Athletic have made their third summer signing.
The latest name through the door is winger Imran Kayani, who has joined from fellow National South club Slough Town.
Kayani, 21, who can also operate centrally, represented England Schoolboys at under-17 and under-18 levels and came through Sutton United’s academy.
Whites boss Mitch Brundle said: “He’s a pacy, left-footed winger, who will get bums off seats.
“He’s hungry to succeed and he comes here with the right attitude.
“He had lots of offers from different clubs but he sees Dover as the right platform to express himself and I’m excited to work with him.
“He had a bit of a tough season in terms of appearances but the ability is definitely there to play at the high standards we’re looking for.
“I’m looking forward to getting him in one-v-one situations, he’s got great pace and he gives us good balance.”
With game time limited at Slough last season, Kayani had loan spells with Hartley Wintney, Hanwell Town and Kingstonian.
Whites fans should read nothing into his lack of action for the Rebels, however.
Brundle said: “He didn’t play as much as he wanted but that’s just how it goes sometimes.
“Sometimes a player doesn’t fit in with how the team are playing or you’ve got a player in your position performing well in front of you and you can’t get in.
“Don’t write players off. There’s talent in lots of players and I’m looking forward to seeing what Imran can do for us.
“Players like him, who like getting one-v-one with defenders, they excite me, and they get the crowd going.
“We didn’t have much pace last year. It’s something we identified that we wanted this year.”
Kayani follows defender Peter Ojemen and midfielder Ade Shokunbi in joining Dover this summer.
