FOUR points from their last two matches have put a slightly brighter gloss on Dover Athletic’s stuttering start to the season.
Manager Clive Walker now wants to see his side begin to repeat some of last season’s hard-nosed performances.
Walker is hoping that the return of Danny Chapman for Saturday’s trip to Bath City, following the completion of his six-match suspension, will shore up a defence which has so far leaked 12 goals in six games compared to just 35 in 42 matches last season.
Walker said: “Chapman will come straight back in because he is such a strong character, and the other teams all know that."
Next Tuesday Whites are at home to in-form Welling United (kick off 7.45pm).
