Dover's 11-game unbeaten run at Crabble in the Vanarama Conference ended with a 2-1 defeat against Lincoln City.
Ricky Modeste opened the scoring for Chris Kinnear's side in the sixth minute before the visitors scored twice in four minutes before half-time through Delano Sam-Yorke and Alan Power, following mistakes by goalkeeper Andy Rafferty.
It was Whites' first home loss in the league since Macclesfield won 1-0 on September 13, and it also means Kinnear's side have now lost four of their last five league games.
Lincoln, who also ended Whites' 13-game unbeaten league run with a 1-0 win at Sincil Bank on January 31, fell behind after Modeste swept home Stefan Payne's cross.
Modeste went close to doubling the advantage six minutes later when his chip beat Lincoln keeper Paul Farman, but hit the bar.
Payne went close in the 20th minute when his curling effort from outside the box went just wide.
Farman then produced a stunning save to tip over Connor Essam's spectacular overhead kick before Tom Murphy's shot from distance went just over.
It had been all Dover at this stage - but that was about to change.
Rafferty let Sam-Yorke's shot slip out of his grasp and the Imps were level after 36 minutes.
They led four minutes later after Rafferty spilled Power's free-kick and the ball rolled into the net.
Payne was inches away from equalising 10 minutes after half-time, his header from Modeste's cross going just over.
Murphy had a shot palmed away by Farman but nothing could be done to preserve Dover's impressive home record.
