NEW signing Billy Bone is set to make his home debut for Dover Athletic when they entertain Newport County on Saturday.

Midfielder Bone, 32, who has enjoyed considerable success while playing in the Far East for the past 12 years, went straight into the Dover side for the trip to Nuneaton on Saturday and made a good impression in Whites' 1-1 draw.

He then signed a deal on Monday which will keep him at Dover until the end of the 2005-2006 season.

The visit of Newport sees Whites taking on one of their prime rivals for the coveted promotion places for Conference 2 (South).

Meanwhile, Dover's Dean Readings is now out of plaster after his serious leg injury but has been advised not to play again this season. Mark Patterson is also likely to miss the rest of the season because of his serious leg injury, but Andy Arnott is only one to two weeks away from full fitness.

Darren Davies, suspended for the Crawley game, is available again on Saturday but Dale Skelton serves a one-match ban.

Realistically, Whites need seven wins from their final 13 games to guarantee a top-13 finish, although six might prove enough

Whites' boss Richard Langley said: "I've never seen confidence so high in the dressing room. If we can't pick up 21 points from our last 13 games then we deserve to be shot."

* With their interest in the Dr Martens League Cup now over, Dover will travel to Weymouth next Tuesday for a rearranged league game.
