Non-league Dover will host Premier League Crystal Palace in the third round of the FA Cup.
Whites will entertain Palace at a sell-out Crabble in the first week in January after the draw, which was made in Hull on Monday evening, handed them one of the biggest ties possible.
Dover defender Sean Francis said: "It doesn't get any better than playing against one (a Premier League side) and to do it at home. You couldn't ask for more.
"Everyone associated with the club will be buzzing now and really looking forward to it. Christmas has come early."
Palace, managed by Neil Warnock, currently lie in 15th place in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone.
Francis, who joined Whites on a one-year deal in the summer from Bishop’s Stortford, will now come up against a former team-mate. Palace striker Dwight Gayle played with him at Stortford and Francis is looking forward to the challenge.
He said: "He's been going well, so I'll have to make sure that doesn't happen at Crabble."
Dover have reached this stage after a second-round victory at Cheltenham on Sunday thanks to Connor Essam's late goal.
Whites overcame Eastbourne Borough following a replay in the fourth qualifying round and then beat League 2 Morecambe at Crabble in the first round.
