Defender Giancarlo Gallifuoco believes Saturday’s trip to Bromley provides Dover with the perfect opportunity to bounce back from their defeat against Fylde.
Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Crabble made it three National League games without a win for Whites who have also gone the same number of matches without beating Bromley this season.
Neil Smith’s side won 2-1 at Crabble in the league in August and two months later knocked Dover out of the FA Cup, beating them 3-0 in a replay at Hayes Lane after a goalless draw in the first meeting.
The 23-year-old former Torquay centre-half said: “The Fylde result was disappointing but we have a motivated, strong, young side.
"We all believe we can be top and if this is just a little wobble and we get back to winning ways, this will all be forgotten.
“It’s actually a perfect time (this weekend). We can kill two birds with one stone, they’ve been a bit of a bogey side for us so far, so what better time than now to change our fortunes, turn a corner and beat this bogey side.”
Australian Gallifuoco has been a virtual ever present since joining Whites on a one-year deal in the summer and added: “I’ve had a fantastic time since I’ve been here. We’re a tight knit squad.”
Whites go into the game in sixth, two points behind new leaders Aldershot, who won 2-0 at Bromley on Tuesday. Bromley are eighth, two points further back.
