Dover captain Jamie Grimes is leaving the club to sign for Cheltenham Town.
The defender will officially join the League 2 club on July 1 when his Whites contract expires, having turned down a new deal at Crabble.
Grimes spent two seasons with Dover, helping them reach the National League play-offs in 2015/16 before a sixth-placed finish this season.
Cheltenham manager Gary Johnson said: "I'm very pleased to have secured Jamie's services after several attempts to sign him last season, which didn't happen due to a transfer fee needing to be paid and Dover taking up an option on his contract.
"He comes well recommended from players at our club who have played with him and staff who have worked with him.
"He's a very good defender with good experience, a centre half that is very tall, very strong and is another leader for our squad."
