Andy Hessenthaler says Dover can't afford to rest on their laurels after Saturday's superb victory against National League title-chasers Salford.
Dover's 3-1 win at the Peninsula Stadium was one of their best results of the campaign and Hessenthaler has urged them to ensure it's not a one-off.
Whites, out of the drop zone into 20th, travel to16th placed Maidenhead on Saturday before hosting rock bottom Braintree on March 2, and the Whites boss acknowledges they are massive games.
He said: "Saturday was a great performance and a brilliant result but the boys aren't silly, they know it's just one game.
"We can't afford to rest on our laurels because we need another 12 of those.
"We've got 36 points to play for and we can't relax. It's not going to get any easier and these next two games are massive because they are against clubs around us.
"What we did with Saturday's win was drag a few of those sides above us, a bit closer, they're now looking over their shoulders.
"Maidenhead have just had two cracking wins (beating Boreham Wood and Leyton Orient 1-0) and both teams will be desperate to get a result so we'll need to prepare in the right way. "
Dover's victory at Salford ended a four-match winless streak, the last two of which were stoppage-time defeats, at home to Gateshead and Harrogate.
Whites coach Darren Hare tweeted over the weekend that there had been 'some honest reflection' from staff and players after the Harrogate game and Hessenthaler confirmed that was the case.
He explained: "We had a good open chat, we were disappointed that we were winning and again conceded so late.
"We were honest, it's not just about my voice I'm a manager who likes to listen to other people's opinions and that includes the players as long as it's constructive – and it was.
"We talked about how we hadn't managed the game right (against Harrogate) but we put that right at Salford because we managed the game superbly.
"I thought the character the players showed, after falling behind, was phenomenal."
Maidenhead – just one point ahead of Whites – and Chesterfield – above them only on goal difference – both also pulled off shock results on Saturday – winning away at Orient and Fylde respectively– and Hessenthaler says that seems to be typical of the National League this season.
He added: "I thought we were capable of getting something at Salford, but did I think we'd win? Probably not. It just seems to be the way the league is, it's on the day. Everyone can beat everyone, I expect it to be nip-and-tuck at the top and the bottom until the end of the season.
"Our aim is to get to 50 points as quickly as we can because we wouldn't want it going to the last day if we can help it."
Josh Debayo (illness) and skipper Mitch Brundle (cut hand) both missed the Salford trip but should be available for selection this weekend.
Josh Passley remains a week or so from a return so Hessenthaler is delighted that Millwall have agreed to continue Danny McNamara's loan spell.
The 22-year-old scored Dover's equaliser at Salford and Hessenthaler says the young defender has settled in superbly at Crabble.
He added: "We're in a relegation scrap so for Danny to come in and play as well as he has says a lot about him. I think he's been excellent and Millwall are over the moon because he's getting good experience with us.
"He probably wouldn't have played before many crowds as big as the one at Salford but he handled it well, far better than a lot of players his age would have done."
