Carshalton v Dover
Dover manager Andy Hessenthaler, whose side are four points clear at the top of the Ryman League Premier Division, predicts that Saturday’s game at Carshalton will be ‘one of our toughest matches of the season’.
The Surrey side are lying third in the table with 19 points from 10 matches, although a little wind was taken out of their sails by last Saturday’s surprise FA Cup 2-1 home defeat by Leiston.
At the same time Dover booked a place in the 3rd qualifying round - and a home clash with AFC Wimbledon - by beating Needham Market 3-1, with Hessenthalter adding: "Although I don't think we played particularly well, the victory kept our momentum going.
"But this Saturday is going to be one of our biggest tests of the season. Carshalton are a good footballing side and so it should make for a decent game, because we will certainly be going there looking for a win."
On the injury front, midfielder Jon Wallis will again be missing because of a hamstring injury while centre half Craig Cloke is likely to be ruled out for the rest of the season after a scan revealed that he suffered a cruciate ligament tear in Whites' league game at Hastings.
