Andy Hessenthaler picked up the Division 1 South Manager of the Year award at the Ryman League annual awards presentation in Sussex.

Hessenthaler, chairman Jim Parmenter and assistant manager Darren Hare were also presented with the league trophy at the function, as the Crabble club reflected on a successful season at the function held at the Effingham Park Hotel, near Gatwick Airport.

The squad return on July 3, with Hessenthaler admitting things are "quiet at the moment" on the transfer front.

He had talks with a centre forward on Tuesday night who may be involved in pre-season training but says his biggest priority is confirming whether midfielder Alan Pouton is staying at the club.
