Dover boss Chris Kinnear doesn't believe in fate but admits his side maybe destined to win the FA Trophy.
Kinnear's side stayed in the hunt to win it after producing a stunning performance to come from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 against Conference South side Bath City in the quarter-final clash at Crabble on Saturday.
And they did it with 10-men after striker Stefan Payne, who had put Dover ahead early in the first half, was sent off after an altercation with Bath goalkeeper Jason Mellor just before half-time.
Richard Orlu (87) and Jake Reid (90+4) scored the late goals to earn Whites a replay at Twerton Park on Tuesday (7.45pm).
Kinnear said: "Our campaign started by winning 3-1 with 10-men at Lowestoft after Andy (goalkeeper Andy Rafferty) got sent off just before half-time, and at almost identical timing to Stefan's (Payne) red card.
"But you cannot rely on fate to win you games - you need hard work and determination and there was no lack of either from the lads against Bath.
"We showed plenty of character to win that game (Lowestoft) and there was certainly no lack of it (character) in the second half against Bath.
"To come from 3-1 down shows magnificent character and the lads never know when they are beaten. They were outstanding."
Kinnear will be without Payne for the replay as he is now serving a three-game ban.
Kinnear said: "Stefan definitely cannot react like the way he did. He has got to learn that he cannot do things such as that and I've told him so.
"We are very proud that we’ve got the best disciplinary record in the league and unfortunately that wasn’t very disciplined at all.
"Now we've got to move on without him and it opens the door for someone else to come in and lead the line."
