Stuart Lewis believes it won't be long before Dover turn around their disappointing away league form.
The Whites are the only side in the National League not to have won on the road this season, having taken just four points from their opening 10 fixtures.
However, they were unlucky to lose 1-0 in their most recent away match, at Halifax, and midfielder Lewis says they are due a change in fortune ahead of Tuesday's trip to Boreham Wood.
He explained: "I've played for managers before who've said that as a team if you take care of performances results will come.
"It's easy to stand here and say we did not get our just desserts at Halifax but we didn't.
"We absolutely battered them in the second half and we didn't get our just reward, but if we can bring that same level of performance then the next two games, for me we can go and attack Boreham Wood, and we can attack Eastleigh (who they face on Saturday) and you never know.
"It's got to start somewhere, the away form, and I truly believe the work ethic we've got in the squad now and the togetherness, and the real desire to work for each other that's going to be massive away from home because in this league there aren't any easy games."
Whites moved off the foot of the table with Saturday's 2-1 home victory over Hartlepool, for whom the defeat was their fifth in a row. Bedsente Gomis and Inih Effiong were Dover's scorers as they made it back-to-back home wins.
Boss Andy Hesenthaler also strengthened his attacking options at the weekend by signing ex-Millwall and Dartford striker Alfie Pavey for an undisclosed fee from Havant & Waterlooville.
The 23-year-old is in the squad for the Boreham Wood game and Lewis admits he is looking forward to seeing the former Maidstone academy graduate play.
He added: "Alfie scored goals at Dartford last year, he's young, he's hungry and I think that's a real good signing from the club.
"I look forward to playing with him and I'm sure he'll buy into what we're doing and he'll want to work as hard as each and everyone of us to keep us in this league."
