DOVER Athletic have signed striker Michael Smissen who started last season at Crabble but could not get into the side.

He moved to Sittingbourne and impressed the supporters with a dozen goals.

Meanwhile, defender Danny Chapman, Dover's captain last term, has joined Conference south club Eastbourne Borough.
