Jack Parkinson scored an 80th minute winner as Dover won 3-2 at Gateshead to register a third consecutive Vanarama National League victory on Saturday.
Parkinson, replacing the injured Liam Bellamy in midfield, headed home Nicky Deverdics' corner to secure the three points and a move up to fifth from eighth.
It was also Dover's third consecutive win over the Tynesiders and it came after a very limited preparation.
Fog delayed the arrival of Dover's plane into Newcastle and boss Chris Kinnear's side only had time for an eight-minute warm-up.
But it didn't appear to affect Whites, with Stefan Payne opening the scoring in just the fifth minute.
Ricky Miller was fouled on the edge of the box and Payne curled in the resulting free-kick.
It was his sixth goal of the season and third in two games following his double against Woking last week.
Gateshead goalkeeper Sam Russell then produced a stunning save to prevent Payne from doubling the lead after turning his volley behind.
Simon Ramsden, whose foul on Miller led to Dover's goal, made amends by equalising in the 16th minute after volleying home from 12 yards.
Gateshead, who started the day second, added a second 20 minutes later when Nathan Buddle headed home after goalkeeper Mitch Walker failed to deal with a corner.
Dover got back on level terms in the 62nd minute courtesy of defender Aswad Thomas' first goal for the club.
He slotted home from six-yards after Gateshead had failed to clear a free-kick from Deverdics.
Parkinson, who was making his first league appearance after his three-match ban following his red card against Braintree, completed the comeback after rising high to power home Deverdics' corner.
