Alfie Pavey's loan at Dover from Maidstone has been extended.

Top scorer Pavey has made an impact since re-joining the National League's bottom side in November, initially signing for a month.

The four-goal frontman, who last scored in Whites' first win of the season on January 25, had been due back at his parent club, but Whites manager Andy Hessenthaler explained - due to new rules - short-term loans involving two National League clubs can be extended beyond 93 days.

Meanwhile midfielder Marshall Wratten has returned to Crabble after his 90-day stint at Isthmian South East Faversham had come to an end.

He made 10 appearances for the Lilywhites, eight starts and two substitute appearances, during his time back at Salters Lane.

Hessenthaler said: "We will do another month with Alfie, which is good.

"He is a figurehead up there with his size. He gives us that option of going longer.

"Marshall Wratten will come back in, as well. He has been at Faversham. He has had a tough time and hasn’t played that many games.

"But we have got another 14 (league) games to go.

"We are lacking left-footed players, so that will help us."

Dover, who were beaten 3-1 at home by Grimsby last weekend, are at Barnet this Saturday.
