Inih Effiong was the hero as 10-man Dover came from behind to secure a superb win against Fylde at Crabble on Saturday.
Visiting top scorer Danny Rowe continued his impressive goalscoring run against Dover by firing the Coasters into a first-half lead.
Dover had winger Anthony Jeffrey controversially sent off midway through the second half after which Inih Effiong took centrestage hitting an 83rd minute equaliser before netting an injury-time winner.
Boss Andy Hessenthaler named the same team which had drawn at Eastleigh the previous week. The only change was on the bench where Kadell Daniel came in for Tobi Sho-Silva who left to join Chelmsford City on a month's loan before the weekend.
Fylde went into the game having lost just once in 11 away games although seven had been draws, five of them goalless. Whites were looking for a third successive home win after beating Maidenhead and Hartlepool.
There was an early moment of alarm for the visitors when Bobby-Joe Taylor whipped in a brilliant fifth minute free-kick which just eluded the stretching Mitch Bundle.
However, Fylde then began to take a grip with Rowe hitting a 30-yard free-kick which Mitch Walker needed two attempts to gather before creating three excellent chances in the space of eight minutes
First Rowe uncharacteristically blazed over from 12 yards after a poor punched clearance by Walker, and moments later Jim Kellerman squandered another good opportunity when he dragged his left foot shot wide of the far post.
Arthur Gnahoua then surged into the box only for fire wide, but Fylde's pressure paid off on 26 minutes as Kellerman got to the by-line before picking out the unmarked Rowe, who had time to take a touch before scoring easily from closer range.
It was no more than the visitors deserved, but Dover did well to stay in the game and were unlucky when Josh Passley's low cross was only half-stopped by the Fylde defence but no home player was close enough to capitalise.
Rowe should have made it 2-0 on 36 minutes when he got in a header from six yards but his effort was straight at Walker and in the final seconds of the half Fylde keeper Jay Lynch was finally called into action to push away Taylor's drive.
Whites made an excellent start to the second half forcing two early corners, the second of which ended with Kevin Lokko's header going over via a deflection.
Effiong and Anthony Jeffrey then worked a good opening with the latter being denied at close range by Lynch who came out smartly.
Referee Carl Brook made a big call on 52 minutes when Effiong went down in the box but he waved away home appeals for a penalty.
Gnahoua then missed a golden chance to double the Fylde lead on the hour when he failed to connect properly and the ball rolled just wide of the far post.
Whites immediately threw on Alfie Pavey for his home debut but just after the game erupted in controversy when winger Jeffrey was sent off after he and Passsley had both gone in for a challenge on Danny Philliskirk.
Jeffrey has only recently returned from a six-game ban after being dismissed at Harrogate.
Fylde immediately looked to capitalise on their numerical advantage with Gnahoua seeing his shot beaten away by Walker before Ryan Croasdale volleyed wide from eight yards.
Ten man Dover continued to press though and deservedly drew level seven minutes from time when Taylor's deep cross was headed back by sub Pavey and Effiong turned the ball home from close range.
There were late scares when Fylde sub Gime Toure drilled a shot across ball and another when Rowe's injury time shot was blocked by Nortey.
Then, with the final whistle looming Pavey played Effiong in and the big striker produced an accomplished lofted finish to send Crabble into a frenzy. It was his fifth goal in the last four games and eighth for the season.
