Striker Inih Effiong believes a new style of play at Dover will bring the best out of him.
The forward has three goals in two games under Andy Hessenthaler and is clearly enjoying his football again under the new regime.
"I’ve had a few chats with the manager," said Effiong. "He’s told me to believe in myself. He knows what I did last season with Woking and that’s why I got my move to Scotland.
"I’ve played against his teams before when we faced Eastleigh so he knows what I’m about. He wants to get the best out of me, and at the moment he is.
"I’m not really a confidence player, for me it was about being played the right way in the right system.
"With the new manager it has given us the impetus to go out there and be free. He says that in the team talk and that’s what we try to do.
"I’m taking each game as it comes and want to get on the scoresheet as often as I can. I’ve got three in two so hopefully I can kick on from here."

Dover boss Andy Hessenthaler praises striker Inih Effiong
Reverting to full-time training during the day will help Dover bridge the gap in the National League.
Effiong believes that switch could mean Whites boss Hessenthaler has to make less changes to his squad than originally planned.
"We’ve got good players here," claimed Effiong. "It’s not a case of having bad players, it was just the way we were playing didn’t really suit some of the players.
"Team spirit has gone up because everyone starts on a clean slate, they want to impress the manager and show him that we’re a good team.
"He might not need to bring in four or five players, we actually have the players here – we just need to play the right way.
"If we give some of the boys a bit of faith in their ability then we’ll be fine.
"Training has been gruelling and hard, and we’ve all enjoyed it. The daytime training is good because we get more fitness work in.
"This league is tough, a lot of clubs are full-time and if you’re not then you’re lagging behind."
