DOVER Athletic's revival under Clive Walker gained momentum with a rare win at FA Trophy semi-finalists Stevenage.

On a ground where Dover had not won since 1994 and had surrendered ineptly by 5-1 just over two months ago in the FA Trophy, Walker’s men laid down a benchmark of their recent progress with an excellent 3-1 win

Dover took the game to Boro from the start and went ahead after just 12 minutes. Keith Scott headed Steve Norman’s inswinging free kick from the right flank goalwards and Borough ‘keeper Paul Wilkerson saved. But he was unable to recover in time to stop Leon Kelly heading home the rebound.

Stevenage struck back within two minutes as Adrian Clarke smashed home an unstoppable volley from the edge of the box.

Dover regained the lead again on 27 minutes. Neil Le Bihan split the defence and Matt Carruthers slotted home from ten yards.

Whites clinched the points on 64 minutes when Le Bihan netted at the far post after Norman's free kick from the right.
