Tonbridge Angels v Dover Athletic

TWO Dover players, Anthony Hogg and Nicky Humphrey, will come up against their former club Tonbridge Angels on Saturday, having been surprisingly released by the Longmead Stadium side due to cost cutting measures.

And Whites manager Clive Walker hopes they will have something to prove against the Angels.

He said: "I know that Hoggy and Nicky were disappointed to leave and am sure they will have a point to prove, but I am delighted they will be wearing a white shirt as we have seen since they have comeback what important players they are for us.

"We will utilise their knowledge regarding set plays, but I know the majority of their players so there will be nothing surprising for us."

Tonbridge, who are managed by former Welling defender Tony Dolby, have also suffered a rollercoaster season.

Financial problems and the resignation of the board have hampered their chances of survival and the West Kent side find themselves on a poor run of results, which has seen them pick up just three wins in 15 games.

Walker will assess his squad at training on Thursday for any niggling injuries, with only Craig Wilkins a minor doubt with a tight hamstring. Apart from Sam Vallance coming back into the side in place of the suspended Dean Readings, Walker should have the luxury of naming an unchanged side.
