DOVER Athletic draw the curtains on their dismal home season when they take on Morecambe at Crabble on Saturday. Whites have provided precious little goalscoring excitement for their home support with just 19 goals in 20 games.
The fact that they have scored more times away from Crabble tells its own story, but manager Clive Walker at least has his strongest squad to choose from for Saturday since he took control control last month.
Walker wants Whites to bow out of the Conference with their heads held high in their last two matches. He said: “I want us to go out of this league with a bang, not a whimper. It's important to try and win the last two games and go out in some style.”
Walker welcomes back striker Tommy Tyne into the squad after the conclusion of his loan spell at Welling while midfielder Jamie Day is available again after a three-game suspension.
Darren Davies is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury but Walker is hoping that Matt Carruthers and Tony Browne will be fit to play. Neil Le Bihan will feature provided he does not suffer a reaction to playing at Chester with a back problem, but captain Keith Scott was set to have a scan on his knee injury this week and is doubtful.
