Dover Athletic return to pre-season training this Saturday - with places still up for grabs in their new-look squad.
Whites will start the National League campaign on minus 12 points, but that hasn't stopped boss Andy Hessenthaler assembling a talented group of players, including the marquee signing of striker Ricky Miller.
Hessenthaler has also snapped up the likes of Jake Goodman, Seth Nana Twumasi and Ben Williamson and is set to run the rule over a number of trialists in the weeks ahead.
"We're going to have quite a few trialists, maybe half a dozen or so and in different positions," said Hessenthaler.
"I'm going to give them minutes in the pre-season games. We had a trial match that went better than I expected and I've invited a few back from there as well.
"That's how we're looking to finish the squad, by going down that procedure.
"It seems to me that so many players are available this year and that's a nice position for us to be in as it means further down the line there might be an opportunity to bring more players in during pre-season.
"We'll train on Saturday, then Monday and Thursday evening, and then start the games straight away on July 17."
Dover will start training at K Sports again this season, but need to relocate in the coming months as all midweek slots under floodlights are already booked up.
Whites are reverting back to part-time training, which means they need to find facilities for midweek evenings.
"That's been a problem," admitted Hessenthaler. "We've got to find a venue for evening training once the light goes as K Sports is all booked out.
"We're talking to another venue and hoping to get that confirmed in the next couple of weeks."
