Jack Parkinson marked his first start for Dover with a goal as Whites came from behind to beat Boreham Wood 2-1 in the Vanarama National League clash at Crabble on Monday.
Harry Crawford put the visitors ahead inside the opening 10 minutes before Dover scored twice in two minutes to hit the lead and stay there.
Parkinson headed the equaliser in the 15th minute before captain Jamie Grimes scored what proved to be the winner and secure a third win of the season for boss Chris Kinnear's side.
The win also extended Whites unbeaten run to six and they move up five places to seventh.
Stefan Payne had the first chance of the game after three minutes, shooting straight at goalkeeper Preston Edwards after a strong run into the area.
The striker then had a shot deflected for a corner from which Jack Parkinson's header easily saved by Edwards.
The visitors took the lead with their first attack after Mitch Walker could only parry Connor Clifford's free-kick and Crawford tucked away the rebound in the ninth minute.
But Parkinson ensured the lead was short-lived after he rose to head home Nicky Deverdics' cross to put Whites back on level terms six minutes later.
Dover hit the front two minutes later when Grimes flicked on a Deverdics cross to score his second goal of the season.
After that flurry of goals, the game quietened down before Walker needed to react quickly to deny the on-rushing Crawford in the 35th minute.
The lively Junior Morias saw his free-kick deflected wide before play went up the other and ended with Ricky Miller shooting just wide.
Parkinson had the final opportunity of the half, heading another dangerous cross from Deverdics over.
While the first half started with plenty of action, the second started sedately and it wasn't until the 63rd minute that saw an opening.
And it was Dover who had it when Miller fired a cross across goal which just evaded the sliding Payne.
Miller then played a one-two with Payne which ended with Miller firing wide.
Deverdics saw his volley beat Edwards but not the post six minutes from time before Liam Bellamy's long-range effort whistled just over moments later.
Boreham Wood went close to earning a point two minutes from time when a header from Morias crashed into the underside of the bar before being cleared.
