Dover Athletic will have a big say in whether Saturday’s opponents, Forest Green Rovers, make the Vanarama Conference play-offs.
Whites head to Gloucestershire knowing the home side need to win on the last day of the season to keep hold of the fifth and final play-off spot.
Rovers are one point ahead of Macclesfield Town, who travel to 12th-placed Torquay United.
That means the stage is set for a dramatic season-finale and Whites boss Chris Kinnear has every intention of his side being party-poopers at the New Lawn.
Kinnear said: “Their (Forest Green Rovers’) destiny is in their own hands – they know what they’ve got to do, but so do my lads.
“I am not worried about ruining it for them, not in the slightest.
“We are going there to win a game of football, like we set out to do every game.
“We are not going to go there thinking about them and what they could achieve.
“We want to get the three points off them to keep us eighth and that would be a tremendous result for us in our first season back in the league. We have plenty to play for.
“They will know we’ll make it tough for them – just ask Bristol Rovers after we drew with them last week to stop them going top.
“We have the hunger and desire to finish the season as strong as those sides chasing promotion, as well as the play-offs.”
