DOVER ATHLETIC chairman Jim Parmenter has condemned a fan for throwing a litter bin onto the pitch at the end of the Kingstonian game.

The bin was thrown in the direction of referee John Rowbury as the players and officials were leaving the pitch. Stewards apprehended the culprit and the incident was reported to the police.

The individual concerned has been banned from Crabble indefinitely, and Mr Parmenter said: "The behaviour of this idiot will not be tolerated and we have acted accordingly."

The police are now dealing with the incident after the referee decided to press charges.
