Dover have been fined £5,000 by the FA after being found guilty of two breaches of the rules relating to the transfer of Bedsente Gomis.
The French midfielder signed for the club in July 2018 – when Chris Kinnear was Dover boss – having played for their National League rivals Barrow the previous season.
Dover were charged with two breaches in that they sought to conceal the involvement of intermediaries and also provided a form to the FA incorrectly declaring no intermediary was used.
The club denied the charge and requested a personal hearing but both charges were proven.
Two intermediaries, John Tranter and Natasha Cox, were both found guilty of failing to ensure all relevant contract and documents contained their names, signatures and registration numbers in relation to the transfer.
The pair have been suspended from all intermediary activity until February 1, 2020 and fined £1,000.
The case findings have just only published on the FA website.
Gomis, 31,emerged as a key member of the Dover squad under Andy Hessenthaler during the second half of the 2018/19 season making 32 appearances across all competitions.
He left Crabble at the end of the campaign after failing to agree a new deal.
Currently without a club, he has previously played at Southend and Sutton as well as enjoying spells with Spanish clubs Puertollano and Almeria.
