PAUL HYDE: Hopes return is permanent

Northwood v Dover Athletic

DOVER ATHLETIC will be without two defenders for their trip to Northwood on Saturday.

Craig Cloke and Lee Shearer are both injured, but Whites will still hope to continue the form they showed on Monday against AFC Wimbledon.

Although Whites lost their Bryco Cup match 2-1, the nature of the performance was encouraging,

One player who returned to first team action on Monday is goalkeeper Paul Hyde and he hopes to retain his place on Saturday.

Hyde replaced French goalkeeper Dominique-Jean Zepharin, who has been released by manager Steve Browne.

Hyde said: "I’d like to think it’s permanent but it’s up to the manager. I will only get fitter and fitter now and hopefully get better and better.

"We’ve a hell of a job to stay up, but we just have to take it game by game. My job is to do the best I can for Dover."
