A new player-assistant manager has been appointed at National League South Dover.
Ricky Holmes, 36, reunites with Whites boss Mitch Brundle after the pair worked together while at Farnborough.
The ex-Portsmouth, Northampton, Charlton, Sheffield United and Southend winger/striker holds the position Brundle initially returned to Crabble in last summer when Andy Hessenthaler was in charge of Dover.
Brundle said: “He did it last year for Farnborough. They were part-time as well.
“He’s ready. He’s a fantastic addition so I’m very delighted to get him over the line.
“It’s good to be working with him.
“We’re both young and want to progress in football.”
Dover eased to a 9-0 victory away to Aylesford on Saturday. One trialist bagged a hat-trick, with young midfielder George Wilkinson also able to claim a brace in the big win.
They welcome League 2 outfit Gillingham to Crabble this Saturday, kick-off will be at 1pm, with Gills’ head of recruitment Hessenthaler set to make his first return to his old stomping ground since he left earlier this year.
Defender Jake Goodman has left and signed for Isthmian Premier neighbours Folkestone while veteran goalkeeper Stuart Nelson has departed as well.
