Dover will be officially crowned Ryman League Premier Division champions on Saturday.

Andy Hessenthaler’s men take on Boreham Wood and then receive the championship trophy from Ryman League officials.

The Dover boss said: "To lift a trophy two years in a row at any level is tremendous and credit to the players and everyone at the club. It will be lovely and we want to win and enjoy it."

The Whites will be aiming to make it 21 games unbeaten in the league and Hessenthaler has told the players that they’ve got plenty to play for.

"We don’t want the season to fizzle out," he said. "I’ve told the players they are contracted for 42 games, not 35 or 36 and they have to earn their money."

Hessenthaler is ready to introduce his latest signing to the Crabble crowd for the first time on Saturday.

Lassana Sidibe made his debut off the bench in last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Heybridge.

Hessenthaler has signed the forward, brother of Stoke City and former Gills striker Mamady Sidibe, on a non-contract basis for the rest of the season.

"I got a phone call from Big Mama asking if I would have a look at his brother and I said yes, he could come down.

"He’s nothing like Mamady. He’s 5ft 8in and says he’s naturally a winger but we played him up front and he did great."

Sidibe will be among those hoping to earn a deal to play Blue Square South football next season and he’s not the only one.

Hessenthaler said: "My emails have been unbelievable since we got promoted from players who are out of contract or available."
