Dover recorded their first home win in four National League matches with a comprehensive victory over struggling Chester on Saturday.
Giancarlo Gallifuoco's 21st minute header gave Whites an interval lead with two goals in six second-half minutes from Mitch Pinnock and Nortei Nortey wrapping up the points before skipper Mitch Brundle completed the scoring.
Dover's victory was just their second in six attempts at Crabble this season and their first at home since the 1-0 win over Wrexham on August 12. The result moved Whites second, behind Aldershot on goal difference.
After naming the same side for three games Kinnear handed Kadell Daniel his first league start at the expense of Jamie Allen who dropped to the bench while Aziz Deen-Conteh was also among the subs with Loui Fazakerley dropping out.
Pinnock had an early sighter firing over in the first minute but the opening quarter of the contest was subdued with neither team creating much.
Whites top scorer Ryan Bird headed wide while for Chester Kingsley James fired all the way along the ground at Mitch Walker on 12 minutes and soon after full-back Andy Halls speculatively shot into the side-netting.
Then, from Dover's first corner of the contest, skipper Brundle stood the ball up and Gallifuoco rose unchallenged to head home with keeper Alex Lynch rooted on his line.
Ross Hannah immediately fired straight at Walker, but Lynch's susceptibility to the high ball was tested again when he failed to collect Brundle's free-kick under pressure and the ball ran out for a corner.
Chances remained at a premimum before half-time with Chester's most promising moment coming on 35 minutes when midfielder James surged into the home box but was not able to pick out a team-mate with his cutback.
The visitors enjoyed a decent little spell in the opening minutes of the second half with Hannah curling over a free-kick after a foul on him by Whites defender Connor Essam who was booked.
Lucas Dawson was then teed up on the edge of the box but blazed over and with just under an hour played Kinnear decided to make a change with Tobi Sho-Silva replacing top scorer Bird.
It was to prove an excellent move and within minutes Dover had doubled their lead, Pinnock beating Lynch away to his left with a crisp low drive from the edge of the area.
It was Pinnock's first league goal for Whites and Nortey followed suit on 68 minutes when he was in the right place to turn home after sub Sho-Silva had done brilliantly to get to the byline and pick him out.
Daniel almost marked his first start with a goal 12 minutes from time when his rising drive clipped the crossbar but five minutes later it was 4-0 with Sho-Silva again heavily involved.
Another strong run carried him into the heart of the Chester area and when his shot was beaten out he picked up the loose ball before teeing up Brundle whose shot rolled past unsighted keeper Lynch.
Dover might have struck again right at the death when they broke three-on one but Lynch did brilliantly to block from Pinnock and then beat out Brundle's follow-up.
