DOVER ATHLETIC manager Steve Browne is hoping new signing Paul Armstrong's loan deal can be turned into something permanent.
Armstrong scored on his debut on Tuesday and is currently on a month-long trial at the Whites. His performance did enough to impress his new manager.
Browne said: “Paul has scored goals everywhere he has been and is a proven goalscorer, which is something that we need. I have told him to come down and play for us a month and we’ll see how things shape up from there.”
Warren Ryan’s loan move from Waltham Forest will also become permanent, with the player keen to come to the Hoverspeed Stadium on a full-time basis.
Meanwhile, Whites are keen to offload a number of players from the wage bill, with strikers Michael Smissen and Chris Wright thought not to feature in the manager’s plans.
There has already been one departure from the club, striker Roni Joe leaving due to work commitments.
