It can be an uncertain time if you or someone you love is thinking of applying to university during Clearing. However, the process doesn’t have to be daunting.

Every year, tens of thousands of students go through Clearing to successfully secure their place at university.

The reasons they give vary; some have not done as well in their exams as they hoped, and haven’t met the entry requirements for their first choice. Or perhaps they’ve done better than they anticipated, and are reassessing their options.

Once students have applied for or been offered a course, the university will often provide some ‘thinking time’ so there’s a chance for students to be sure that they have made the right decision for them.
