Choosing to study a university-level course is a significant decision and finding the right fit for your lifestyle and budget is important.

This September, you can enrol in university-level courses at your local college, offering a unique blend of affordability, flexibility and professional development right in your community.

.

Whether you’re looking to manage your studies alongside other commitments, save on tuition fees, or access state-of-the-art facilities, studying at a local college can provide the ideal pathway to achieving your academic and career goals.

Studying Affordably
Wave goodbye to sky-high tuition fees. When you study a university-level course at your local College, you can benefit from paying a reduction in your course fees.

Did you know, you could be eligible for complete funding for some courses?

Six fully-funded spaces are available on our HNC in Construction Management course for both Folkestone and Hythe residents and those employed within the construction sector in Folkestone and Hythe.

.

Places are funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to eligibility. To be eligible, you must be either a resident within Folkestone and Hythe District Council local authority area or work for a construction company registered in Folkestone and Hythe and be supported by your employer to complete the qualification.

In addition, you must meet the full entry requirements of the course. Evidence of this eligibility criteria will be required to secure the funded place.

Studying Flexibly
Studying a university level course at your local college means you can learn at your own pace.

Unlike most universities, you will have the option to enrol for a year at a time, meaning you can take breaks between years of study, giving you the flexibility to complete your degree at your own pace.

Whilst most degrees require a full three-year commitment, you can break your study up year by year.

For example, you may study an HNC for one year, or an HND for two years and then enrol in a top-up for one year to turn your course into a full BA or BSc degree.

.

Studying Professionally
You don’t need to travel far to find a course that gives you the skills, knowledge and accreditation to get you to where you need to be.

Whatever you study, your local College is equipped with the same industry-standard equipment for any practical pursuits you have.

From the newest engineering equipment and robotics rooms to purpose-built art studios and land-based campuses, you can make the most of your learning experience and leave with the skills that employers want.

Studying Locally
When you go to university it often comes with thinking about moving, finding accommodation and settling into a new city, but when you study a university-level course at your local College, you can continue learning in the area you live in.
