People of all ages are being invited to check out the courses on offer at Canterbury College, as it prepares for its Open Day later this month.
Taking place on Tuesday 31 January, all of the College’s department areas will have staff on hand to help you find the course that’s perfect for you.
Whether you’re a student who’s just finished your GCSEs or an adult looking for evening or weekend classes, the College offers programmes with peers of similar age and interests which can not only boost your knowledge but also your social circle.
With 35 pathways on offer, there’s sure to be a course to suit everyone. Also it doesn’t matter how experienced you are in a subject – qualifications range from BTEC Level 2s to A Levels to BSc and BA degree top-ups.
The wide range of programmes means you won’t be short of choice. Whether you want to explore your creative side through Drama, Art, or Music, grow your Business and IT skills, or get more hands-on with welding, carpentry or landscaping, there’s an option for you.
Another exciting opportunity is studying the new T Level qualification, which is already proving successful due to Canterbury College’s early adoption. Open to those finishing their GCSEs, the courses come with 45 days of work experience to act as a perfect springboard into the career of your choice.
If you are older and have a full-time job or busy life, the College also host weekend and evening programmes of learning. Ever popular, adult students can enjoy the flexible courses available to pick up skills such as welding, hair styling, carpentry and horticulture.
What’s more, you get great benefits from being a student on any of the College’s learning pathways. A surprising number of high street retailers and supermarkets have offers just for students, with our Students’ Union on hand to guide you through the process of accessing them online.
The Union also organises a host of trips at a discounted price, with regular outings to places like Thorpe Park, Comic Con and the West End. It’s also an excellent resource which provides an all-encompassing wellbeing support service, ensuring you’re happy and healthy both inside and outside of the classroom.
