Boy escapes knifeman who demanded phone

A 15-year-old boy managed to run away from a man who threatened him with a knife before trying to steal his mobile phone.

The attempted robbery took place between 8.25am and around 8.45am on Monday morning in Priory Row, Faversham.

Police say the victim refused to hand over his phone and ran away from the offender.

The man was white, aged between 20 and 25, 5ft 7in tall, with black hair and a beard. He was wearing a red hooded top with the logo A9 on it and baggy blue jeans.
