Fire crews were called to the M2 last night (Saturday) after a car caught on fire.

At around 6.30pm, the London-bound carriageway between junction six and junction seven, near Faversham, was closed while firefighters battled the blaze.

After the fire, one lane remained close while the vehicle was recovered.

The road fully reopened by 7.30pm.
