Drivers faced major delays on the M2 this evening after a crash.
There were lengthy tailbacks on the London-bound carriageway after the accident, which happened at 4pm between junction 6 for Faversham and 5 for Sittingbourne.
One lane was closed and traffic stretched back as far as the junction 7 exit for the Brenley Corner.
The vehicles involved in the crash have now been moved to the hard shoulder and the road has re-opened.
A police spokesman said: "It was a two-vehicle road traffic collision between junction 6 and 5 of the M2 involving a Fiesta and a Mini reported just before 4pm.
"No injuries have been reported and Kent Highways is dealing with recovering of the vehicles."
"The road fully opened at 4.53pm."
