Ashford Road closed after crash in Badlesmere near Faversham

The Ashford Road is closed in both directions near Faversham.

Buses have been delayed and traffic is building in the area near to Badlesmere after the collision involving a van and a lorry at around 2.45pm today.

The road is closed in both directions between Shottenden Road and Bagshill Road and Kent Highways are warning drivers to expect delays.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at 2.43pm on to a report of a two vehicle collision in Ashford Road.

"The road is currently blocked in both directions. At this stage, no injuries have been reported."
