A251 closed in both directions due to accident between M2 J6 and A2 Canterbury Road

The A251 has reopened after a three-car crash this morning.

Emergency services were called to the accident, which occurred between M2 junction 6 for Faversham and the A2 Canterbury Road, shortly after 5.30am.

The M2 exit at J6 onto the A251 near Faversham was also closed earlier due to the collision.

Police officers and ambulance crews were called to the scene and a man was given medical treatment for injuries that have been described as minor.

The road reopened at around 7.40am.
