Kent police and ambulance crews at a three-car crash in East Street in Faversham

Ambulance crews and police are at the scene of a three-car crash in Faversham.

Three cars have collided near traffic lights between East Street and Newton Road, causing traffic chaos in a busy part of the town.

A police spokesman said: "This is a three vehicle collision in East Street, reported at midday today.

"Officers are on scene."

Local resident Andy Culham witnessed the scene this afternoon. He said: "That part of the town is busy enough.

"The road is blocked so it's going to cause traffic chaos on East Street."
